"Back from work honey!" "Hi mommy!" "I have to go to a party tonight. It’s for my work. People are coming from all over the world. Isn’t that exciting?" "Can I go to the party with you!? " Asked Mary, Susan's 11-year-old daughter. "No honey, I'm sorry. It's a cocktail party. It’s not for kids! You can come another time. Besides, you wouldn’t have fun anyways.” “Ok mom…”
A couple hours later, Susan was getting ready for her party. She was in her brand new red satin, floor length dress. While she was putting on her make-up Mary said, “Wow mom, you look really pretty. Are you SURE I can’t come?” “Nope sorry sweetie, but there’s pizza in the oven if you get hungry!” “Ok.”
Ten minuets later Susan was in her new red convertible BMW driving to the party. When she got there, it was non-stop talking. People from all over the world, literally were talking! She heard German, English, Spanish all different languages. She was saying “Hola! Hello! Hallo!”
She went over and got in a very long conversation with her co-worker. Helo Martha. (Hello Martha) J'ai besoin de vous imprimer ceci de. (I need you to print this off) ¿También, puede trabajar hasta tarde usted mañana? (Also, do you think you can stay late tomorrow?) Dank, Ihres das beste und Sie sollten es wissen! (Thanks, you the best and you should know it) Adios. (Good bye)
When she got back from the party, Mary was still up and said, “how was the party mom?” “Boring, not even worth it.” “Why?” “All I did was talk to my co-worker then left.” “Oh…” “Then I shoulda….” “Yeah you shoulda come.” The End.
